Player Commands
All 37 player commands on SecondWind RO, grouped by what you want to do, plus the admin commands we left out and why.
Player Commands
Every command on this page works for every player from level 1. There is no VIP tier and nothing is unlocked by donating, because there is nothing to donate to.
Type them into the chat window with the @ prefix. @commands prints the full list in game if you would rather not keep this page open.
Finding things#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@mobinfo <name or id> |
Stats, element, size, race and the full drop list for a monster. Partial names work. |
@iteminfo <name or id> |
Everything about an item, including which monsters carry it. |
@whodrops <item> |
The reverse lookup. Which monsters drop this, and at what rate. |
@whereis <name or id> |
Which maps a monster spawns on. |
@whosell <item> |
Searches every open player shop on the server and tells you who is selling it and for how much. |
@whobuy <item> |
The same for buying shops, so you can find out who wants what you are carrying. |
@whosell and @whobuy save an enormous amount of walking. Before running laps around Prontera reading shop titles, ask the server.
Getting to a place#
draws arrows on the ground that lead you there, across maps if it has to. This one uses a slash, not an @, because the client handles it rather than the server. You will find it all over this wiki as the way we point at an NPC, for example for the Pet Groomer.
The route data behind it is generated from our own server, so the NPCs it names are the ones actually standing there and the warps it sends you through are the ones that exist. It routes you through the Warper where the Warper can take you, and on foot everywhere else.
Loot#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@autoloot <rate> |
Picks up drops at or below the given rate. @autoloot 100 takes everything, @autoloot 1 takes only things that drop at 1 percent or rarer. |
@autoloottype <type> |
Picks up by category, for example healing or card. Run it with no argument to see the categories. |
@alootid <item> |
Picks up one specific item and nothing else. Ideal when you are farming a single drop. |
All three stack. A common setup is @autoloot 1 to catch anything rare, plus @alootid on whatever you are hunting.
Kills your homunculus or mercenary made on their own are looted too, as long as you are at the keyboard. This stops after 90 seconds without any action from you, or after three minutes without moving at least ten cells from where you last stood. Poring Coins explains both timers.
The Settings Assistant remembers your loot settings and puts them back at every login.
Getting around and getting unstuck#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@home |
Warps you to your save point from anywhere. Your escape hatch when something goes wrong. |
@refresh |
Resyncs your position with the server. Fixes the case where your character looks stuck but is not. |
@rrunstuck |
Frees you during a Reverse Race when the mirrored controls have wedged you into a corner. |
@rrquit |
Drops you out of a Reverse Race. |
@treasure |
Whether a Treasure Hunt chest is out there right now, which region it landed in, and every hint released so far. |
If @home and @refresh both fail, the Support Terminal has a proper rescue for the awkward cases.
Trading and shops#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@autotrade |
Keeps your vending shop open after you log out. Shopping Mall only. |
@cart |
Opens your cart without hunting for the button. |
@autotrade is restricted to the Shopping Mall on purpose. Offline shops scattered across the world would turn every map into an obstacle course and make it hard to tell who is standing there in person.
No second account needed any more. Your shop becomes independent the moment you type @autotrade, and your account is free straight away. You can log into a different character on the same account and keep playing while it sells. The shop also survives a server restart and reopens on its own with everything intact. Log into the vending character itself and it closes, handing you the zeny it made. Full write-up on Shopping Mall & Offline Vending.
Pets#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@autofeed |
Toggles automatic feeding for your active pet. |
@autofeed on / @autofeed off |
Sets it directly instead of toggling. |
The pet info window has no checkbox for this on our client, so the command is the only way to turn it on. Your pet still needs its usual food item in your inventory, and the Settings Assistant remembers the setting for you at every login.
Homunculus#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@hominfo |
Stats, hunger and intimacy of your active homunculus. |
Information on screen#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@showexp |
Shows the EXP you gain from each kill. |
@showzeny |
Shows the zeny you pick up. |
@showdelay |
Warns you when you act during a skill delay. |
@rates |
The server rates. |
@myrates |
What you personally are earning right now, Battle Manuals and party bonuses included. |
@servertime |
Server time, which is what every event schedule refers to. |
@killcount or @kc |
Your kill totals and your position in the rankings. See Kill Counter. |
@jailtime |
How long you have left, in the unlikely event that this concerns you. |
People#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@lfg or @partyfinder |
Opens the Party Finder from anywhere. Post what you are recruiting for, or browse who is looking. |
@noask |
Automatically declines party, guild, friend and trade requests. Peace and quiet. |
@noks |
Kill steal protection. Other players cannot take monsters you are already fighting. |
@request <message> |
Sends a message to every GM currently online. |
@noks is worth switching on before you go anywhere popular. It works in both directions, so it also stops you accidentally taking somebody else's monster.
Duels#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@duel |
Starts a duel. Add a player name to invite them straight away. |
@invite <name> |
Invites somebody into a duel you already started. |
@accept |
Accepts an invitation. |
@reject |
Declines one. |
@leave |
Leaves the duel you are in. |
Duels work anywhere, towns included, and both people have to agree. It is the only way to fight another player outside the arena, which keeps the rest of the world safe for everyone who did not sign up for it.
Chat channels#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@join <#channel> |
Joins a channel. @join #support is the one most people want. |
@leave <#channel> |
Leaves it again. |
@channel |
Channel administration, including creating your own. |
#global and #trade are joined for you at login. The full list is on Server Overview.
Odds and ends#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
@changedress |
Hides headgear sprites when you would rather see your character. |
@commands |
Prints every command available to you. |
@help <command> |
Explains one of them. |
@charcommands |
Lists the commands you can use on another character. |
Deliberately missing#
@go does not exist here. Fast travel runs through the Warper, and the Warper only offers places your account has walked to. A command that jumps you to any town on request would remove the single system this server is built around.
@warp, @item, @monster, @zeny and the rest of the administration set are not available to players. They are tools for running a server, and they stay with the team.
@storage is not in the list either. Storage is a Kafra service, and the short walk to a Kafra is a small part of what keeps towns feeling inhabited.
One that does nothing#
@resurrect appears in @commands because rAthena hands it to every player by default. On this server it does nothing at all, and it is worth knowing why before you die somewhere inconvenient and count on it.
The command revives you by consuming a
Token of Siegfried. That item exists in the Pre-Renewal database, but nothing on SecondWind RO sells it. No shop carries it and no NPC hands it out. The only regular source is the 5% line in the Hunter's Cache, so a token in your inventory is an emergency reserve, and @resurrect is the way to spend it.
So if you die without one, you walk back or you use a Priest. That is the Pre-Renewal death penalty working as intended.
Do not confuse it with
Life Insurance. That one you double-click before you die, and it protects your experience for the next 30 minutes. It does not revive anybody. Lydia sells it for 10 Poring Coins.
If a command you know from another server is missing and you think there is a real case for it, the Support Terminal takes suggestions, and the Midgard Herald runs polls on the ones worth putting to everybody.
