King of Emperium
A guild tournament three times a day. One Emperium, twenty minutes, and the guild that holds it longest takes the round.
King of Emperium
One Emperium in the middle of an arena. Break it and it is yours, and from that moment every other guild wants it back. Whoever holds it longest without losing it takes the round.
Twenty minutes, three times a day, nothing carries over. No castles, no treasure chests. You come, you fight, you go home with your reward.
Opens 1 September 2026#
- First round on 1 September 2026, which is also the start of Season 1
- The herald is already in Prontera and will explain everything
- No rounds run before that date
You need a guild to take part. Use the time.
Schedule#
| Round | Server time (UTC) |
|---|---|
| Morning | 05:00 |
| Midday | 12:00 |
| Evening | 19:00 |
- Each round lasts 20 minutes
- An announcement goes out 15 minutes before
- Three slots so every part of the world gets one at a decent hour. Check yours with
@servertime
Taking part#
| Where | King of Emperium herald, |
| Requirement | You must be in a guild |
| Guild limit | 12 members at once, so one full party |
| Minimum stay | 3 minutes, or you leave with nothing |
The herald sends you in while a round is running, and keeps the standings if you only want to look.
How a round works#
- Breaking is the start, not the goal. The moment your guild breaks the Emperium your clock starts. It respawns straight away, and now it is yours to defend
- Only your longest single hold counts. Ten minutes in one piece beats four stretches of three
- You cannot take your own Emperium. Hitting it does nothing and your clock keeps running
- Four barricades go up on every change of hands. The Emperium stays away until all four are down. They take real damage, so bring people
- Dying does not put you out. Back on your feet after 30 seconds at the arena respawn point, still inside, and your three minutes keep counting
- Every minute the arena is told who holds it and for how long
Rewards#
How much you get depends on how many guilds turned up.
| Guilds in the round | 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 60 |
30 | 15 |
| 3 | 90 |
45 | 20 |
| 4 or more | 120 |
60 | 30 |
On top of the Poring Coins, everyone who fought takes a box home.
| Placing | Box |
|---|---|
| Winning guild | Champion's Chest |
| 2nd and 3rd | Event Treasure Chest |
| Everyone else who fought | Event Prize Pouch |
The monthly season pays
Champion Seals on top. The amounts are under Seasons.
A round with only one guild pays nothing. Holding an Emperium that nobody is attacking is not a win, and an empty arena should not print coins.
Seasons#
A season is one calendar month, starting with the tournament itself on 1 September 2026.
| Placing in a round | Points |
|---|---|
| 1st | 3 |
| 2nd | 2 |
| 3rd | 1 |
At the end of the month the top three guilds pay
Champion Seals to every member who fought for them, not only the leader. The champions also get the season headgear. Collect both from the herald whenever you next log in, it waits for you.
| Season placing | Champion Seals |
|---|---|
| 1st | 25, plus the season headgear |
| 2nd | 15 |
| 3rd | 10 |
Check the table with @koerank from anywhere, at the herald, or in the Hall of Fame under Events. Past champions stay listed with their season and their hat.
The season headgears#
Twelve hats, one per season, and none of them can be obtained any other way on this server. Once a hat has been handed out it never comes back, so the hat you wear says which season you won.
| Headgear | What it gives |
|---|---|
Golden Tiara |
INT +2 |
Phrygian Cap |
INT +2 |
Blank Eyes |
appearance only |
Carnival Joker Jester |
appearance only |
Candle |
all stats +1 |
Autumn Leaves |
MaxHP +40, MaxSP +40 |
Drooping Bunny |
DEX +1, Flee +2 |
Hibiscus |
DEX +1, INT +1, MDEF +5 |
Cyclop's Eye |
MaxSP +50 |
Sheep Hat |
reflects 5% of melee damage |
Wandering Minstrel Hat |
INT +1, DEX +1 |
Captain's Hat |
Water resistance +5% |
Which one a season pays out is drawn at random from the ones still left. They are deliberately light on stats. A prize that made the winning guild stronger would make every following season harder for everyone else.
Fighting in the arena#
- War of Emperium combat rules apply, so damage between players is reduced the same way it is in a siege
- The Emperium is holy element. Holy and poison attacks do nothing to it at all
- Shadow and undead weapons hit it 25% harder. Bring one if you plan to be the breaker
