Hall of Fame
Thirteen leaderboards, all live. The numbers are read from the database the moment you open the menu, so nothing is cached and nothing is a day old.
The Hall of Fame stands in Prontera at .
Three categories#
Thirteen boards in one flat list was unreadable, so they are sorted now. Pick a category, pick a board, and Back takes you up one step rather than closing the window on you.
| Category | Boards |
|---|---|
| Characters | Base Level, By Class, Explorers, Achievements, Most Deaths, Wealth |
| Combat | Monster Hunters, MVP Hunters, PvP Kills |
| Events | Reverse Race Wins, Disguise Event, Zombie Survival Wins, Zombie Survival Longest Stand |
Characters#
Top 10 Base Level#
Highest base level, with job level breaking ties. The straightforward one.
Top 10 by Class#
The same idea split by class, so you can see where you stand among people playing what you play. Second classes only, since third and fourth classes do not exist here.
This board matters more than the overall one for most people. Fourth highest Blacksmith on the server says more than fortieth overall.
Top 10 Explorers#
Locations unlocked for the Warper, counted per account. The same progress behind the World Explorer achievements.
A board you climb by going places rather than by grinding one of them, which makes it one of the few here that rewards curiosity directly.
Top 10 Achievements#
Completed achievements only. Partial progress and points do not count.
Top 10 Most Deaths#
Yes, really. Deaths counted per character.
There is no shame attached to this one. Every name on it kept playing afterwards, and that is the part worth recording. A character with hundreds of deaths has spent time somewhere dangerous.
Top 10 Wealth#
Zeny carried, per character. Storage and vending stock are not counted, only what is in the character's pocket right now.
Combat#
Top 10 Monster Hunters#
Total monsters killed, counted per character. The same counter behind the Hunter achievements and @killcount.
Top 10 MVP Hunters#
Real MVPs only. Plenty of monsters carry a boss flag without being MVPs and this board does not count them. Kill Counter explains how the distinction is made.
This is the board that takes longest to climb and is the hardest to fake.
Top 10 PvP Kills#
Players killed in the arena, with an anti-farming rule attached.
A kill only counts if that specific pair of players has not already scored against each other recently, and the rule is symmetric, so it makes no difference who killed whom. Two people trading kills back and forth credit the first one and then nothing.
Fighting different opponents carries no restriction at all. The rule stops a two-person arrangement and leaves everyone else alone.
Staff are not on the boards#
Every query filters out accounts belonging to a GM group. Nobody who can spawn items or warp at will appears anywhere in these rankings, which is the only condition under which a leaderboard on a private server means anything.
Reading the numbers#
The boards show a name and a number. No online status, no location, no gear.
If your character is not listed, you are not in the top ten for that board. @killcount tells you your position on the hunting boards, which is usually the question you were asking.
Events#
Top 10 Reverse Race Wins counts races won at the Reverse Race.
Top 10 Disguise Event counts rounds won at the Disguise NPC.
Top 10 Zombie Survival Wins counts rounds you were the last Novice standing.
Top 10 Zombie Survival Longest Stand counts the highest wave you ever survived, whether or not you won that round. Losing a close one still leaves a mark.
These four are here because a casual player can realistically reach them. The levelling and MVP boards belong to whoever plays the most hours, and that should not be the only route onto a wall. Turning up to an event in the evening and winning it is a different kind of achievement, and it deserved somewhere to be recorded.
Zombie Survival goes further than the rest: it only accepts Novices at Base Level 1, so nothing you own or ground out beforehand counts for anything. That board is the closest thing here to a level playing field.
The website carries the same rankings at secondwindro.com/rankings.php if you would rather check them without logging in.
