Party Finder

The Party Finder stands in Prontera at /navi prontera 164/169, next to the fountain. Party leaders post what they are recruiting for, everyone else browses and asks to join.

You do not have to walk there. @lfg opens the same board from anywhere in the world. @partyfinder works too.

The sign above it shows how many parties are recruiting right now, the same way the Who's Online NPC shows the player count.

Posting a listing#

Pick Post My Party and answer three things.

The note is where you say the useful part. Where you are headed, what you are missing, how long you plan to stay out.

You do not need a party first. If you have none, the board offers to create one and asks for a name.

Only the party leader can post. If somebody else in your party tries, the board sends them back to you.

Finding a party#

Browse Parties Looking for Members lists everything that matches your own level. Listings outside your range are hidden, so nothing you see is a wasted click.

Each line shows the level range, the activity and the leader:

The number in brackets at the end is how many people are already waiting to hear back. Pick a line and you get the full entry with the leader's class, the party name, the note and how much time is left, then you decide whether to ask.

What happens after you ask#

The leader gets a message wherever they are, even in the middle of another conversation. Up to five people can wait on the same listing.

The leader answers each request one at a time and can accept or decline. There is no automatic join, so nobody ends up in a group that did not want them.

You get told either way.

From the Questboard#

Accept a hunt at the Questboard and it asks whether you want a party for it. Say yes and your listing is already filled in, with the name of the hunt and its exact level bracket.

That last part matters. A listing posted this way covers the levels the hunt covers, instead of your own level plus or minus fifteen.

Accepting a different hunt later rewrites your listing rather than creating a second one.

The listing itself#

Listings run for 15 minutes. Your own entry has a Renew button that puts it back to the full time, and a Cancel button.

Fifteen slots exist across the whole server. Listings do not survive a server restart, which is deliberate for a board that is meant to show who is looking right now.

Discord#

Every new listing also goes to our Discord, which is how it reaches the people who are not logged in at that moment.

You get one post per listing. Everything after that is written into the same post, so it shows how many people are waiting to hear back, and it is rewritten to a closing line once the listing is cancelled or runs out. Renewing a listing changes nothing on Discord.

For a notification, open Channels & Roles at the top of the channel list in Discord and pick Looking for Group. Without that role you still see the posts, you are not pinged for them.

Pings are capped at one every ten minutes, so a busy evening gives you a handful of notifications rather than a stream.
