PvP Arena

Two arena rooms open at all hours, how kills count towards the ranking, duels anywhere, and why towns stay safe.

PvP Arena

Open permanently. No schedule, no sign-up, no minimum number of participants. Walk in whenever you want a fight.

Guild sieges are a separate thing and live on War of Emperium.

Getting in#

The PVP Warper at sends you in and brings you back out. It shows how many people are in each room before you commit, so you are not warping into an empty arena for nothing.

The two rooms#

Room What it is
Yoyo The standard room. Everyone against everyone.
Nightmare The harsher one, with the usual nightmare-mode consequences for dying.

Read what the warper tells you before you step into Nightmare.

Kills that count#

Arena kills feed the Top 10 PvP Kills board, with one rule attached.

A kill counts only if you and that specific opponent have not already scored against each other recently. The rule is symmetric, so it makes no difference who killed whom. Two people taking turns credit the first kill and then nothing until the window passes.

Fighting different people carries no restriction. The rule stops a two-person arrangement from producing a leaderboard position and leaves everyone else alone.

Duels anywhere#

@duel starts a duel with another player anywhere in the world, towns included. Both people have to agree before anything happens.

Command
@duel Start a duel
@invite Bring somebody in
@accept / @reject Answer an invitation
@leave Walk away

See Player Commands.

Duel kills do not count towards the PvP ranking. Duels are for settling arguments and testing builds. The board stays reserved for arena fights.

Cities are safe#

You cannot be attacked in a town. The only way to fight another player inside a city is to agree to a duel with them.

This rule stays. A world where standing in Prontera is dangerous is a world where new players quit inside an hour.
